Shipwreck - Balancing Changes

  • You can now hold a maximum of 10 lifebuoys and 20 shark spears. This is so you cannot hoard a huge number of lifebuoys and then just camp a single sandbank.
  • Increase the number of points that fish are worth at higher milestones. This is to make collecting fish at higher milestones worthwhile.
  • Decrease the number of milestone 3 and milestone 4 spawns in the midship once the bow opens. This is to encourage higher milestone players to move to the bow and stern.
  • Add some milestone 1 and milestone 2 spawns to the stern. This is to reduce how much you have to wait for things to respawn when you are collecting points in the stern.
  • Scopes now only find hidden opportunities on the sandbank they are facing. This is to make the decision to use scopes feel more meaningful and less of a gamble. We are going to make some further adjustments to scopes in the next update to make them more rewarding.
  • Sharks now spawn in more gradually as a new area opens up. This is so they don't eat everything on a sandbank before you can get there.

Shipwreck - Bug Fixes

  • Fix the screen fading back in before you are transferred to the recovery bed after dying in the bow or stern.
  • The tutorial checklist now counts points including bonuses.
  • A resumed tutorial now restores how many repair bonuses are left to collect.
  • Fish found with a scope swim around again.
  • Update scope descriptions to say 'of tier' instead of 'up to tier' to reflect an earlier change.
  • Add some missing information to the descriptions of higher tier spear guns.

Shipwreck - Other Changes

  • When playing Shipwreck, a player's current Shipwreck points are shown above their head instead of their total level.
  • Reduce the cargo points required in the tutorial so milestone 1 players can complete that step without leaving the sandbank.
  • The maximum number of Shipwreck items you can hold is now shown in the bottom display.

Lighting Improvements

  • General lighting improvements across Hopeport.
  • Lobster and oyster buoys now light up when ready to collect.
  • Stonemason talismans now light up when ready to collect.
  • Pops' headlamp glows.

Other Balancing Changes

  • Shark jaws, suckers, ectoplasm and mushroom spores have been reduced in value, as they were worth too much.

Other Bug Fixes

  • Fix a bug where the Halloween wooden stake could be dropped by a combat foe. All the Halloween wooden stakes have been converted to common items.
